Custom Electric Guitar24 1/2 inch scale. The brief was to build an electric guitar based upon the classic Gibson Les Paul Flame Top Series (1959). The client was keen that the guitar should have a heavy solid body and wanted to use indigenous timbers. The body has a Sneezewood top glued to a Kiaat back. Both timbers are extremely resonant. The neck is made of Mahogany, with an Ebony fingerboard.The 24 1/2 inch scale combined with Jumbo Frets, a solid Gotoh tailpiece and bridge, Golden Age P90 style pickups, Planetwave lock and trim machine heads and a solid brass nut for extra sustain make for one very playable guitar.
